Texas 7th Grader Saved by AED

In October, a 7th grader (pictured here) was saved by an AED in Abilene.
The 12-year-old experienced cardiac arrest in the morning, shortly after arriving at Craig Middle School. Staff at the school sprang into action, using an AED to bring her back to life. The device administered two shocks, and she was airlifted to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth for recovery and treatment.
She was back in school eight days later.
