History teacher saved in Texas classroom
Earlier this month, Freer Junior High School history teacher Bill Holmes had cardiac arrest in his classroom. His students saw he wasn't breathing and they ran for help.
A team of bystanders soon responded: calling 911, retrieving the AED, and initiating CPR. The AED was used to restart Bill's heart, and with that, he began breathing again.
Bill credits teamwork for saving his life. He counts himself lucky to work at a school where people take care of each other. He says, "I'm lucky to be here. And it wouldn't have happened if they weren't there for me."
