DFW defibrillators save 22 lives
When we mention AEDs to folks who aren't familiar with them, a common response is: "Oh, that's the device I see on the wall at the airport!" It sure is, and they are on those walls for good reason.
In the past 33 months, DFW has saved 22 lives with their fleet of 300 AEDs. That averages one life saved every 45 days!
DFW upgraded to new Philips AEDs in May of 2018. They previously had a mix of older devices -- some of which were harder for a layperson to use. Hats off to DFW for making this "investment" to save lives; it has already paid 22 "dividends"!
