Nationals fan saved mid-game
John Clements and his family traveled from Wisconsin to DC to root for the Brewers in June. They had great seats in Section 209 at Nationals Park and fully enjoyed the first six innings of the game.
In the seventh inning, John's wife, Rhonda, noticed he was not breathing normally and was turning blue. John's heart had suddenly stopped beating.
She told her sons to get help. Nearby fans noticed the commotion and rapidly came to his aid, beginning CPR while an AED was retrieved.
Four shocks were administered, and John was transported to a hospital where a stent was placed in his right coronary artery. He was on a train back to Wisconsin 5 days later, grateful to the bystanders who came to his rescue.
