While unanimous votes may be uncommon in Congress, in December of 2007, the House of Representatives unanimously passed a resolution to set aside June 1-7 each year as National CPR and AED Awareness Week.
The objective of the resolution is to spotlight how many lives can be saved by Americans who are prepared to do CPR and use an AED. Without AEDs, fewer than 10% of Sudden Cardiac Arrest victims survive. With AEDs, more than 90% can live.
Today, we are halfway through America's 12th CPR and AED Awareness week. We are proud to support the increasing number of business who deploy AEDs. Together, we can save lives.
