AEDs have evolved
REDMOND - December 11, 2019 - A tour of the Stryker / Physio-Control plant in Redmond, Washington starts with a look back in time at one of the world's first defibrillators: the LifePak 33 from the 1950's (pictured here). It is heavy and difficult to use but provided a fantastic juxtaposition to the highlight of the tour -- the assembly lines that manufacture the sophisticated LifePak CR2.
The Stryker employees who took us on the tour averaged nearly 10 years in tenure -- a rare thing in today's world. It is testament to the way Stryker treats its employees and we believe also stems from the joy employees take in building machines that save lives.
We were impressed not only by the deep experience of the team running the plant, but also the rigor of the manufacturing process, the commitment to quality control and continuous improvement, and the ongoing innovation that is sure to develop even better products in years to come.
We are proud to be a Stryker partner, and while the FDA won't let us sell you a LifePak 33, we now stock LifePak CR2's (last picture below), and we are ready to serve you!
